Aylmer's Grille and Restaurant

Aylmer’s Grille is the fine-dining, full service restaurant offering creative American cuisine at the Woodbound Inn & Resort. The restaurant began on Main Street Jaffrey in 2003 and now resides at its new location at the Woodbound Inn & Resort. Aylmer Given, chef/proprietor of Aylmer’s Grille, brings his experience and love of food to the gourmet menu provided. The open kitchen area offers an exciting Chef’s bar, as well as the Chef’s table, where guests can enjoy the excitement of watching their meal being prepared. It is our desire that you have a truly enjoyable dining experience with good food and great service in a relaxing atmosphere.

About the Chef. After growing up in the Monadnock area, Aylmer attended the Culinary Institute of America. From there he traveled around the country pursuing his career as a chef and perfecting his talents. He worked for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Caesars Hotel & Casino, Omni Hotels, the National Gallery of Art, and Occasions Caterers in Washington, DC. He enjoys bringing the French Classics and American Cuisine together to delight the palate. Aylmer’s love of food comes from his mom and dad who loved to cook and bring new dishes to the table. His mother would work miracles feeding twelve hungry mouths each day and still have the time to create wonderful pastries and desserts.

We invite you to come in and enjoy, whether you are a guest of the Inn or a local diner. The restaurant is currently open for lunch and dinner on Tuesday through Saturday. The menu changes seasonally, in order to entice you with fresh, local ingredients. Our Lounge offers an inviting atmosphere to have a drink before dinner, an after dinner apéritif, or enjoy a light dinner from our Small Plates menu. And don't forget the great wine and martini options, pared for your pleasure with our enticing entrées.
