Mount Monadnock
Many easy, well marked trails lead up North America's most climbed mountain. As you ascend, the panoramic scene expands across villages, cities and lakes to the Atlantic Ocean, Boston and the northern mountains. Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson and many other writers, artists and musicians have experienced this regal mountain in their day.
Cathedral of the Pines
Accessible across the Woodbound Inn's trails or from Route 119 into Rindge. The Cathedral is an outdoor shrine where all may worship, seated beneath the pines with Mt. Monadnock as its backdrop. The Altar of the Nations, dedicated to America's War Dead, contains a stone from every state and territory. Norman Rockwell bronze tablets are displayed on the Memorial Bell Tower honoring American women. Sunday services and organ meditations are conducted seasonally.

Friendly Farm

A "petting zoo" on Route 101 in Dublin, the Friendly Farm is popular with visitors of all ages. Animals roam freely and you are allowed to feed the animals. Picnic facilities are available.
Ski Areas
The Woodbound Inn has 18 kilometers of Cross Country ski trails on the property. The Inn is also close to many downhill ski mountains, including Temple Mountain Ski Area in Temple.
Golf
The Woodbound Inn has its own 9-hole Par Three U.S.G.A. Sanctioned course. The greens are full size with Bent Vesper grass. Also close by is the Shattuck Golf Course, Bretwood and Monadnock Country Club. This is truly a golfer's paradise.

Tour the area's historic bridges and maple sugar houses.
Mini Golf
Just minutes away, you and your family can enjoy a rousing game of mini golf.

The Monadnock Region boasts many antique shops along its scenic back roads.

Whether you're looking for an outlet mall with bargains galore, or stores with a unique country flair, you'll find them here in the Monadnock Region. Be sure to visit the Colony Mill Marketplace, a renovated woolen mill with 30 specialty stores and restaurants.
Sports
If you enjoy baseball, be sure to drive over to Keene and see their very own AAA League baseball team, the Swampbats. They play frequently through the summer at Wheelock Park.
Higher Education
The Monadnock Region offers several colleges, including Franklin Pierce College with campuses in Rindge and Keene; Keene State College, and Antioch New England.
